In a dusty environment, buildup can affect ventilation and trap heat around the cabinet and electronics. Over time, that puts more stress on the components inside the screen.
How often you clean the display depends heavily on where it is installed.
A screen in a clean meeting room is not the same as a screen in a warehouse, beside a road, or in an outdoor commercial installation.

- Turn the screen off.

Front Maintenance vs Rear Maintenance: Decide This Before You Buy
This is one of those things people don’t think about until the first module fails.
By then, it’s too late to change the installation.
Rear Maintenance
Rear maintenance means the technician accesses modules and internal components from behind the LED wall.
It works well when there is a service corridor or enough space behind the screen.
If you can comfortably reach the back of the wall, rear maintenance is straightforward.
Front Maintenance
Front maintenance allows the module or service component to be accessed from the viewing side.
This is the better choice when the screen is:
- Mounted directly against a wall
- Installed in a tight architectural space
- Hanging where rear access is difficult
- Built into a structure without a service corridor

If you cannot realistically reach the back of the screen, don’t buy a rear-maintenance-only design and hope maintenance will somehow be easy later.

LED displays don’t all live in the same conditions.
The maintenance routine for an indoor conference room screen should not be copied directly to an outdoor LED billboard.
Hot Climates
Heat is something every electronic system has to manage.
Check that:

- The screen has enough space for heat dissipation
- External structures are not restricting airflow
- The brightness is appropriate for the environment
For outdoor displays, there is usually no reason to run maximum brightness at night if the environment does not require it.
